HIPPY BIRTHDAY

Todayis my birthday. Which, you know, YAY! But I have a different reason for smugly pointing this out. Mainly I didn't expect to make it beyond 40. Honestly. I was diagnosed with HIV 23 years ago and didn't think I'd make it to 40. 47 is amazing to me. I lived long enough to have Polly which is a present enough.

So Happy Birthday to moi. I'm an Oldie now, which is odd enough. But more than that, I'm a Special Oldie. I'm like a Cancer survivor. I'm outside of the bar, outside of the estimate. Due to drugs, genetics, or the luck from the Supreme Being. Whatever the reason, I am thankful.

And I thank you for your support on this journey. Happy Birthday to you too.
