Dear Secret Anonymous Thanksgiving Person
Dear Secret Anonymous Thanksgiving Person -
Thank you so much. The dinner was delicious. I wore a tux and Polly wore a full length gown.
I kid.
Polly wore a cocktail dress and was very beautiful. You'd be surprised, she is a great dinner companion. Did she talk about Proust? No. Did she gossip about Britney? No. It was all about me. Licking the face, cuddling next to me, raising her hind parts and acting playful. She was the perfect date. Tip: if you want to be interesting, act INTERESTED.
Or it may have been the turkey.
At any rate, we loved the whole thing. It was heaven. We watched a movie and gorged ourselves.
You, whoever you are, rock.

THANKSGIVING
For the few of you who read the comments here, you might have seen the comment from an "Anonymous" telling me to be home today. I was on pins and needles about the result.
Well what I got at 12:30 was a whole THANKSGIVING FEAST!!! There's turkey. stuffing, mashed potatoes, asparagus, cranberrie sauce, a roll and a salad, all from the delicious Marie Callander's. This sure beats me lying to people and telling them I was having "dinner at a friends".
The delivery person wouldn't tell me the sender, so I'm still in the dark. But whoever it is, let me say your gift was perfect and made this man and doggy very very very happy, both to be fed and to be loved.
Thanks indeed.

BIBLE VERSUS UPDATE
Yes, I know I haven't updated any Bible related posts recently. Mostly because I've been ill. Sorry. My Technorati rating has even fallen by 23 posts due to my laziness. Oops. Sorry. I wish I could keep up all the time.
However, such is life. Even when I wake and feel OK, there's a few hours of wondering if this is how the day will go. Sometimes it does. But by then I'm often so tired over the wonderment that I just relax in the relief. After 5 PM, I'm usually good. Usually.
So I apologize for those who expect more. I can relate. I expect more too. Just have some Hope.

FRIDAY THANKSGIVING
I had an amazing day.
I did something I wasn't sure if I could do physically. I got a check from my mother a week or so ago and I had to deposit it in the bank. I'm currently a little shaky about performing strenuous physical tasks and my car is out of order. So I walked to the bank. I was unsure how that task would go and it took me an hour to get to the bank and then home but I did it. Part of the delay was due to Polly having to stop and sniff everything every ten feet due to our new route. She's a female dog but loves to mark her place. Diva. Duh. But in the end, I felt a sense of accomplishment that we'd made it and that was amazing. Plus I felt the assurance of some financial gain which was soothing. I don't have to worry right now about over drafts.
This Friday Thanksgiving goes to my "secret" donater who wishes to remain nameless. Thank you dearly for your support. We heart you.

LETTING GO OF GOD
The hardest thing.
Here.
By Jill Sobule via Julia Sweeney.
To clarify this post, this is not a personal note. I just love and admire Julia Sweeney and this song (which is the title of Sweeney's last one woman show) caught my eye. And I see the concept of "letting go of God" on many different levels including the idea that people can let go of their rigid preconceptions and assumptions about what God is.
